Marketing Tips: Being creative with your advertising

When it comes to advertising, you have to ask yourself one single question: Am I being creative for the sake of being cute? Are my ads designed to generate a lead, or is its sole intent to look pretty? This is something that you must ask yourself.

Now don't get me wrong. Some people are able to make a pretty and beautiful ad work with absolute precision. But for most business owners, their attempts to make pretty ads work more often ends in disaster.

You have to know that ads that work, work for a reason. You should never think that your target audience is too "sophisticated" to receive your message. The truth of the matter is that the ads that work for a "lesser sophisticated" market will also work for these high class people also.

The purpose of your ad is to advance the sale. That's it. Don't follow large corporations who's sole intention is to build their brand and gain market awareness. Brand building for a small business often results in massive loss of advertising dollars.

So stick to creating ads that are effective at bringing in new leads and sales... instead of merely "getting your name out there". You'll be more profitable this way.
