Advertising Tips: If it aint broke, don't fix it

If you currently have an ad that you're running and it's performing well for you, don't change it. I know you may have heard that you should test and track various versions of your ads to get the utmost profitability from it, but you should be cautious when changing winning ads.

The fact is that if you change your ad, it may not perform as well as it used to, and it takes time to replace an ad in a magazine or other publication, so you will have to wait 1-3 months just for the opportunity to switch back to the other ad that was previously working for you.

The bottom line is that you should be running ads that work for you now. So if you ever tweak your ad, make sure that it's working NOW. You don't have time to waste to "see" if your ad will ever work. Either it works now, or it doesn't. Don't ever let anyone tell you that it takes "exposure" and "time" for your ad to work. This is a bunch of nonsense.
