When it comes to your advertising efforts, you want to simplify everything. Don't assume that your prospect or customer will automatically know which action you want them to take. You have to turn on your direct marketing engine and "drive" people to your 1-800 number or website.
This simple notion alone will improve your sales. When I see big companies running brand advertisements, I ask myself how in the world will they turn a profit from these ads. They have large pictures in their ads with only a few words on the page... and then want to put a Facebook or Twitter logo on the ad in hopes that people will follow them on these sites.
Don't be this wrong with your advertising. Make sure your prospects know the action you want them to take, and make sure you guide them in that direction.
